Riley - The boy wins first place trophy!!
Beginner's Graduation!!
WOW!! Riley won first place at his obedience
graduation!! This at a time when we were bouncing
from house to house while our own house was
being fixed. He was so tired before and after
the competition, but somehow found his second
wind when we took to the ring on August 28,
2003. With his brother out in the truck, we
thought we would run in, run through the course,
and run out. Much to my surprise, all of the
instructors were telling me how good he was
doing and how much better he was doing than
all the other dogs (of course he was only number
8 of 32 to go through the ring). After we went
through, I approached the scoring judge to find
out his score and explained that I had to leave
and she pleaded with me to stay - he did too
well to not let him be rewarded on the spot!!
Well, we stayed and Riley got a final score
of 196 out of 200 and the next closest score
was 194½!!
We always knew Riley was very smart and now
we know he is very obedient also (of course
he is more obedient in the ring than in the
family room)!!
Novice
Graduation
WOW!! He did it again, this time with the Novice
dogs. It was a smaller group but this time was
with more advanced training and trainers. For
Novice graduation, Riley scored a 196½
and the next highest score was a 193. The only
thing he messed up on was the recall, he did
not sit down in front of me, he just stood there.
This has sort of become his trademark move,
he did this also at the dog show on November
8, 2003 (just a few short weeks ago).

Well our boys got their CD and in grand Style!!!!
Casey got first place and Riley got second
place!
