The Xbox 360 Update

Anyone who knows me knows that I am neither a big Gamer (although I do have an XBOX and a full size video game) nor am I a huge supporter of Apple.  That being said, this is one of the funniest (ironic) things I have seen for a while.

The long and short of it is that Microsoft is releasing their new gaming system soon – the XBOX 360.  So they had the systems set up at a trade show so that some members of the media could see it and have an opportunity to write about it… that bit them in the ass let me tell you!!

One person noticed that the 360 is supposed to handle Anti-Aliasing and after they noticed some things did not look right, they looked around and saw the 360 gaming systems were not visible except inside some large cages and upon closer inspection, they were not even turned on.  When they went around the back of this cage, they realized that the games were being played on a MAC – not a Windows machine, but a Mac G5!!

I guess the score is now as follows:
Bill Gates — 0
Steve Jobs — 1

Check it out yourself with all the photo images you need for proof, AnandTech: E3 2005 - Day 1: The XBOX 360 Update tisk, tisk Billy, time to bitch out some developers, I think.

Make your own Ringtones

This is a site that may be worth checking out to create your own ringtones. It does not make a difference to me because I have a Windows Mobile Smartphone. Someone want to give this a try and post back here to let everyone know if it works or not. Make your own Ringtones

Mostly Exchange Web Log

One of the very cool (and somewhat useful) blogs I have come across today in my quest to solve Exchange 2003 problems. Jim McBee's Mostly Exchange Web Log

Gotta run, off to class!!

Runaway bride story spawns products

CNN.com - Runaway bride story spawns products

Story about the lady that ran away just before her wedding, we all know the one — said she was kidnapped, etc.  Well anyway, it has happened, she has apparently reached some sort of cult status.  Just saw this on CNN.com this morning.  Jennifer Wilbanks has a product named after her and I think it is rather endearing that someone would buy a hot sauce called “Jennifer’s High Tailin’ Hot Sauce”.

Of course the company that makes the hot sauce is from the South.

The article also references an “action figure” put out by a company in Danbury, Connecticut.  The action figure can be purchased from their website for $24.95.  Of course if you are a really hard core action figure collector, you won’t want to miss their Condoleezza Rice action figure either (available on the same page… apparently neither of these ladies deserve their own web page for their action hero).

Da Boys & Milk-Bone

Today the boys Milk-Bone Search pictures became available.  These pictures were taken at Bark In The Park on May 7, 2005.  In September there will be an opportunity to vote for the best dog picture to have their picture on a box of Milk-Bones… I will let you know, count on it!!

In the meantime, here are the pictures:

Subway Card Program Changes

Well today I went into my local Subway and much to my dismay, they changed their card program.   You know, you buy a sub, you get stamps and you collect them until you fill up your card and then redeem it for a free sub. Apparently this card program has been changing for quite some time, but it just caught up with my little town (Chicago).

So they have changed the program and are no longer giving out stamps, for this reason, I have decided to give out my own stamps.  Of course they won’t work on the new card, but what the hell.

New Subway Card - Stamps  +  Jared = Fat-man

I already don’t think I will be enjoying my Subway sub’s nearly as much as I used to.  See what happens when Jered goes and gets thin on us, see if he can beat anorexia!!

Till next time, hopefully I won’t go hungry without my stamps!!

del.icio.us

I came across this web site which allows you to create a live RSS feed full of your bookmarks.  Now you may say, “So what?” to which I would answer, now you can capture all of your bookmarks to a live feed and share it between multiple computers.  If you would like, you can also even use someone else’s bookmarks instead of your own.

The website is del.icio.us which of course spells DELICIOUS and while the site is relatively plain as far as graphics and layout it is packed with awesome technology and sites you would never have found any other way.

Check it out and sign up for an account today!!

Bark in the Park 2005

Well today was officially the day of our bark in the park.  We all had a blast and according to my pedomiter, I took 9644 steps.  All together that turns out to be 6.4 miles at my stepping pace.  This was quite  a feet for my boys.

Gotta run, my boys are calling

Bark in the Park 2005

By the way, it is still not to late to donate for them.  They did reach their goal of $600 but more is better, right?
