Spread Firefox - Igniting the web

Spread Firefox - Igniting the web

Firefox is spreading like wildfire. There is nothing that the 1,000 pound gorilla in Redmond can do about it now, it is getting better reviews than IE ever did and it is not full of thousands of bugs... or is it?

What a pretty holiday inspired image of the firefox logo.

Back to my point, with so many people now developing "extensions" for Firefox, it is just a matter of time before one of these really cool ones that has like oh say 50,000 + downloads is determined to have some backdoor code in it to make it a zombie. Now don't get your panties all in a bunch, it is not there yet, but as more stupid lusers (er, I mean users) start using firefox, it is only a matter of time before this type of thing gets exploited.

Gotta run for now, but till next time, have a happy new year and be safe out there tonight... there will be a lot of drunks looking for trouble.

Gumball Machines, Ebay and more...

Well, I was just looking at something that I bid on for my wife's little brother (Ryan) for Christmas, when I got there, did a quick search and found that a gumball machine that I would like to have was going to sell for $20, so I bought it!! It did not come with a case or any candy so I did a google search and came up with Vending Machines - Gumball Machines For Bulk Vending Business site.
Now I just need to worry about winning the gumball machine for Ryan so that I don't have to give up my new toy :)
Anyway, time to go order the stand and some candy, ttyl.

Gateway Connected DVD

This is the DVD/DiVX/XViD player that is the best deal and feature pack. This dvd player does not seem to be available any longer through Gateway as a new product but there are still some remanufactured versions. Gateway Connected DVD Player is only $89.99 but when it first came out and was new, it was around $250.00.
Better try to get ahold of Gateway tomorrow to make sure it is the one that I want (with a wired ethernet port) since they have a similar product for $99.99 which I am assuming is the same product just a wireless version of it).
Till a later time, later...

15 things a man can do at Walmart

15 things a man can do at Walmart – while his wife is taking her
own sweet time:

1. Get 24 boxes of condoms & randomly put them in people’s carts when they aren’t looking.

2. Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5 minute intervals.

3. Make a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the womens restroom.

4. Walk up to an employee and tell him/her in an official tone: ‘Code 3 in Housewares’ . and see what happens.

5. Go to the Service Desk and ask to put a bag of M&M’s on layaway.

6. Move a ‘CAUTION - WET FLOOR’ sign to a carpeted area.

7. Setup a tent in the Camping Department – and tell other shoppers you’re sleeping over; invite them in if they bring pillows from the Bedding Department.

8. When a clerk asks if they can help you, begin to cry and ask: “Why can’t you people just leave me alone?”

9. Look right into the security camera, use it as a mirror and pick your nose.

10. While handling guns in the Hunting Department, ask the clerk if he knows where the antidepressants are.

11. Dart around the store suspiciously, while loudly humming the theme from “Mission Impossible.”

12. In the Auto Department, practice your “Madonna look” using different sized funnels.

13. Hide in a clothing rack . and when people browse through, say: “PICK ME!!! PICK ME!!!”

14. When an announcement comes over the loudspeaker, assume the fetal position and scream “NO!…It’s those voices again!!!” And last but not least:

15. Go into a fitting room, shut the door and wait a while . then yell loudly: “There’s no toilet paper in here!

National Do Not Call Registry

I got an e-mail today and I thought I would pass it along to everyone:
In a few weeks cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales call and solicitation calls to your cell phones. Call this number from your cell phone 1-888-382-1222. It is the Nation Do not Call list run by the government. It will block your number for 5 years.
If you cannot call from the number you want to block, you need to go to their website at DoNotCall.gov. They will send you back an email which you must click on a link within 72 hours to indicate that it was actually you entering your number. If you have spam filters on your email, this email from donotcall.gov may very well get blocked. When this email forwarded around my company today, I had about 30 emails get tossed in the administrators mailbox (which is where we sort through spam) that I in turn needed to forward on to the right user. The spam "warehouse" that caught ours was blackholes.five-ten-sg.com (there is no website at that URL, it is only used by spam software, click here if you want info on the site).
Good luck and let's all together put those damn telemarketers and spammers out of business!!!
Till next time, see ya on the other side!

Mel Gibson buys personal Pacific island

Now I know when you write & direct a movie that many say is too contriversial to do, and make $425,000,000 in the making of The Passion of Christ (Mel personally took home about $135,000,000), your pretty much have earned the right to do whatever the hell you want to do. So Mel Gibson has gone and done it, Mel Gibson buys personal Pacific island: report. 10/12/2004. ABC News Online. The heading says it all.
He appears to have bought the island for somewhere between $15-$19 million dollars in the South Pacific. Good for you Mel, I think I would like to have done the same thing, just build yourself a helicopter pad and you will be all set for the weekend get-a-ways with the wife and 14 kids!!
Till next time, have fun.
By the way, I did not forget all of you, my loyal readers. My cable internet connection has been down at home and work has been simply murder!! More blogs to come :)
