Leslie's Birthday and a note from a brother from long ago

Today was Leslie's birthday, which is always an eventful day. The following our dinner out at her favorite restaurant (Francesca's By The River) we came home and I checked my email before doing some homework. I got an email from one of my Fraternity brothers who is playing a gig on June 9 at a place called the
Beat Kitchen. His name is John Peterson and the name of the band is The Wind-Up Merchants. I am
definitely planning on attending this gig, but the only downside is that I have class that night, for God's Sake Man!! I have my final exam that night, I will be ready to go out drinking afterwards!!

Oh well, I have not seen John in 10 years so it will be good to get some of my buddies together and go out to see and support him. I think we will have a blast.

Sorry for the Lack of Blogs Lately...

Have not been blogging lately... Grad school is so much work plus we have had several major issues going on at work. Our video dude (greg) has been having major issues with his AVID system and basically needs a new computer at the tune of $10,000 and that is after we move some of the cards out of his current system.

Had a dog show last weekend and the boys both got another qualilfying score toward their CD (Companion Dog) title. We are going to the Labrador Specialty Show June 11 and hopefully they will both get their final leg of the title. It will be really nice because both of their breeder's will be there and they have not seen either of them since the day we brought them home.

Casey's breeder: Riveroad Labradors is owned by Karin Thomas.
Riley's breeder: Honorbright Labs is owned by Pat Kroll. Pat is on the board of the host group for the dog show on the 11th. She has a picture of Riley on her website for the puppies (it is Riley in his 2002 holloween costume).
