Now I know when you write & direct a movie that many say is too contriversial to do, and make $425,000,000 in the making of The Passion of Christ (Mel personally took home about $135,000,000), your pretty much have earned the right to do whatever the hell you want to do. He appears to have bought the island for somewhere between $15-$19 million dollars in the South Pacific. Good for you Mel, I think I would like to have done the same thing, just build yourself a helicopter pad and you will be all set for the weekend get-a-ways with the wife and 14 kids!!
