Mid America Taping and Reeling Firewall Upgrade

Today I am spending most of my day performing due diligence before doing an upgrade on the firewall of Mid America Taping and Reeling (This company is by far the best in the tape and reel industry, they have been doing surface mount, axial taping, radial taping, component packaging, smd taping and carrier tape longer and better than anyone out there).

Currently their firewall is a Cisco PIX 506E running on bin 5.x and we are upgrading to 6.3.4 which is the most recent version, we are also upgrading to the latest version of Cisco PDM which is 3.02. This should be a pretty routine upgrade but still anytime dealing with a customer's life line to email and the Internet, got to make sure we know what we are doing BEFORE going into the office to do the upgrade.

Barb and Ed met with me on Friday to go over the last of the particulars and make sure there will be zero down time or business interruption to which I gave my assurance of this. Work will begin and commence on Monday or Tuesday, whichever they give me the green light to come.
